and Publication Schedule
Cultural, arts, and humanities organizations should submit information
regarding talks, exhibits, theater, music etc. for free posting on the
most complete list of cultural events on Staten Island.
• Submit information to the online calendar by DECEMBER
1 for publication in Jan / Feb / March
• Submit information to the online calendar by MARCH
1 for publication in April / May / June
• Submit information to the online calendar by JUNE
1 for publication in July / August / September
• Submit information to the online calendar by SEPTEMBER
1 for publication in October / November / December
Submit all events for the newsletter to COAHSI's Online Calendar.
Submitting
Articles and Photographs...
COAHSI encourages you to contact us regarding articles ideas, or if you
would like to write an article yourself. Before submitting an article,
please contact the Arts & Letters Editor first to discuss your article
idea so that it may be worked into an appropriate edition. All articles
submitted for the newsletter are subject to normal editorial review and
may be cut due to space restrictions. All rights reserved. Copyright©

COAHSI is also interested in acquiring photographs to accompany newsletter
articles and
events/exhibits/programs/performances listings. We ask that photos be
submitted (mailed on a disc or emailed as an attachment) in one of the
following formats:
• High resolution digital files, i.e. 200 – 300 dpi
jpg or tiff files
(NOTE:
Do NOT send us images taken from a website. They are only 72 dpi.)
• Scans from photos taken with a film camera, scanned in at 200 –
300 dpi
(NOTE:
Do NOT scan a printout from a digital camera. Send us the digital file.)
• Photo prints from a film camera
(NOTE:
Do NOT submit printouts of digital images. Send us the digital image.)
COAHSI wants to give credit to the photographers who have captured the images used in each issue; however, photos are often provided to COAHSI without proper attribution. Attributed or not, all photos that appear in the COAHSI newsletter (and on this website) remain the property of the original photographer and all copyrights apply.
