What To Expect If You’re Coming To LUMEN

Here’s what you need to know

If you are planning to attend this year’s LUMEN festival (and we hope you are!) here’s what you need to know:

  • There is NO parking at the Atlantic Salt site! If you are planning to drive to LUMEN, you may park at the Staten Island ferry terminal and take a short shuttle bus/walk to LUMEN (see schedule below). You may also find street parking in the New Brighton/Randall Manor area of Staten Island. Those areas are right near LUMEN and your car will be close by.
  • If you are planning to bike to LUMEN, we encourage you to take advantage of our free bike valet on site, courtesy of Transportation Alternatives. They will also have bike lights for sale ($5) so you can get home safely.
  • If you are taking the ferry to the event, but are not sure where to go once you get off the ferry — keep an eye out for our LUMEN staff that will be handing out information and maps at the terminal or download your map now! (LINK!)
  • LUMEN is a dog friendly event, so bring your best friend along for the art, food, and fun — just make sure he is on a leash!
  • The event is (light) rain or shine. The forecast is looking good!
  • Bring you beach blanket or summer chair! There will be some seating available, but if you’d like to plop down at your leisure — bring something to sit on!
  • There is a CASH bar, but that means you have to bring CASH! The closest ATM is about a 10 minute walk away. (If you are taking the ferry, you can use the ATMs available on the Manhattan side before you board)
  • There will be food available onsite, great Indian food (veggie friendly!) from DesiFood Truck, gourmet ices from Woolys Ice, Free Watermelon, water and popcorn (courtesy of Atlantic Salt, Gerardi’s Farmers Market, and Majestic Vending).
