Join Staten Island Arts and Larissa Schiano-Gonzalez for “Mindfulness, The Nature of the Arts and Teaching.” In this FREE 2-hour long workshop, teaching artists will learn what mindfulness meditation is, its benefits, how it connects with art and teaching, and how it is a pathway to equity and social emotional learning. During this program, dancer/teacher/yoga practitioner/local business owner Larissa Schiano-Gonzalez will guide participants so that they experience the benefits of mindfulness through breathing, basic movement, and meditation. Attendees will participate in and create arts activities that incorporate mindfulness.

* While this workshop is geared towards teaching artists, all artists are welcome to attend.

RSVP here. Workshop will take place via Zoom, and you will receive an access link one day prior to the date.
