Staten Island Arts offers marketing resources for local doers, makers, and thinkers from all walks of life.
Culture Calendar
The best way to get your info out to our audience is with the Culture Calendar. In addition to being a frequently-viewed list online, Culture Calendar sends email digests to subscribers islandwide. Having a listing up on Culture Calendar greatly increases the likelihood SIA can share your news on our own social media channels. Just sign up to create an account, and build listings with graphics, RSVP links, and more.
Social Media SIA is able to promote a limited number of events on our social media channels. To be considered, you must have some connection to Staten Island—priority will go to events taking place in Richmond County itself. To submit a request, read the tips below, copy our quick template into a new email, and you’re all set.
Please note that SIA gets many requests for promotional assistance but due to volume, we cannot accommodate every one. We appreciate your understanding.
Schedule & Tips
Our Schedule
- On Mondays we review requests from the previous week
- Facebook, Twitter, IG Feed, and other posts are shared with consideration for volume and content
- We cannot edit posted content unless we made an error on our end. If you notice our mistake, please email Gena at gmimozo@statenislandarts.org.
Your Schedule / Tips
- Aim to get your social media request to SIA 3-4 weeks before your event
- Having a Culture Calendar listing up in advance helps us promote your event
- All Facebook events, ticket links, websites, etc. should be live at the time of your request
Submission Form Template
Please copy / paste the info below into an email and send to gmimozo@statenislandarts.org with the subject “SIA Social Media Request.” Fill it out to the best of your ability; if you don’t have an answer for something, it’s okay to just leave it blank.
Please make sure to attach an image or flyer for us to use in our posts. Please make sure whatever image/flyer you send is the proper size for the social media site you would like it shared through. Our main channels are Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
